Swasdee Ka and Welcome to “Working
Together for Health Security” Conference Website!
This conference is a joint effort
between PIHWD, NNET and other local and international organisations, in order
to reflect on current situations, education, policies and practices in
relation to health security, and how to improve them. As there are
differences in our understandings in relation to the scope, breadth and depth
of health security, we will meet to explore, broaden and deepen our
understandings of what “health security” is in fact.

The event will feature multidisciplinary keynote, plenary and
concurrent sessions representing different sectors, different levels of
participation, and, of course, a platform for exchanging experiences and
expertise from different regions and nations around the globe. We therefore
accept papers from all disciplines. The papers may reflect case studies,
practices, research, policies as well as concepts and theories related to
health security.
The conference will be
held in Chiang Mai—one of Asia’s finest tourist and cultural destinations. The
conference is scheduled for the 10th -12th April, 2012. This is just a few days
before a world famous Song Kran Festival. Naturally, you can enjoy the festival
right after you have fulfilled your professional and academic duties, and right
in the most eventful place for Song Kran, i.e., Chiang Mai.
